The First Post!

Blank Canvas

Welcome to the papery! I am so glad that you are here.

Maintaining and running a blog has been a goal of mine for quite some time, and seeing it come to fruition now is an incredible feeling.

When I set out to create the editorial structure of the papery, I had a few things in mind. I wanted to create a space where…

  • readers, writers, and publishers can openly and honestly express their opinions.
  • there can be numerous voices contributing reviews, ideas, and tips without fear of judgment.
  • readers, writers, and publishers can celebrate how incredible/scary/hard/fun/brutal/inspiring it is to create and read a book.

With these goals in mind, the papery is going to focus on releasing book reviews (with a heavy focus on writing reference books), publishing news, writing tips/tricks/hacks, and personal stories from the writing and publishing trenches.

I am so thankful that you have taken the time out of your day to read this first post. the papery will begin its regularly scheduled programming next Wednesday (but our first review will go live later today! Ahh!) and will continue to publish content weekly to bi-weekly until one week we don’t because sh*t happens.

Ultimately, don’t forget that the papery is here to be a community space. Play nice in the comments, encourage fellow followers, share social media handles (there are links up there and down there and probably somewhere else), and always feel free to ask for a particular review or topic discussion.

Submit an email to be notified of all the latest posts, follow us on social media, and buckle up for safety if you are driving somewhere, I will see you next week!
